Australian Capital Territory concessions and support programs for residential customers

ACT Concessions are funded by the ACT Revenue Office. They are responsible for determining the concession amounts, eligibility criteria and overall operation of the programs. We administer electricity specific programs on their behalf. Details of these programs can be found below. In addition to the below, you may be eligible for other support programs available in the ACT, check out the ACT Revenue Office website for more detail.

Combined Utilities Concession

$750/year
Winter rate (1 June to 31 October) – 357.843 cents per day
Summer rate (1 November to 31 May) – 95.519 cents per day

To be eligible for this concession you must:

Be listed on the account (and invoice)
Apply only for your sole or principle place of residence (which should match the address linked to your concession card) ; and
Hold one of the following concession cards:
- Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card (PCC).
- Centrelink Low Income Health Care Card (HCC).
- Veteran’s Affairs Pensioner Concession Card or Gold Card Holders (Prisoner of War, War Widow or Totally Permanently Incapacitated (TPI) Embossed).
- ACT Services Access Card.

Life Support Rebate

$128/year

The following electrically-operated life-support equipment entitles the applicant to an electricity life-support rebate:

dialysis machine
oxygen concentrator
respirator
CPAP regulator
longstay life support
nebuliser
LS reference
TPN device
other apparatus subject to approval.

To apply for this concession you will need a medical confirmation form signed by your medical practitioner. Reach out to us for a copy of this form.
