Moving house can be daunting
Moving house can be a daunting experience for many Aussies. There are so many things to remember, even if you move regularly or have been in the same home for decades. Interestingly, Aussies are the most mobile people in the world according to census data drawn from researchers at the University of Queensland. Their findings show that 4 in 10 Aussies change their address every five years.
Regardless of whether you have moved frequently or about to undertake your first move, ensuring there is electricity on at your new home should be at the top of your list. Nectr, like many energy retailers can make the connection process simple, plus we don’t charge for move in fees (unlike many other retailers).
When should I book in a connection?
You can book in your move to a new home with Nectr as soon as you know the new address or even on the day of your move (if you tell us by 2pm). As a new or existing Nectr customer, you just need to enter your move in date and the address of where you are moving to. We liaise with the relevant network distributor and ensure the power is connected and we will switch you to Nectr for your move in day.
What happens if I've forgotten to book in a connection?
Nectr allows for same day and next day move in connections (except Sunday’s and Public Holidays) if you tell us before 2pm.
