Here we are again, stuck in another tough period with our lives continuously compromised due to Covid. Again we see more households working from home, juggling reduced incomes and trying to make ends meet. Our homes have definitely become our havens!
Here at Nectr, we know that energy usage may also have increased now that we are spending more time indoors, especially through the chillier winter months. To help take some of the pressure off, as of 1 July we released some really competitive energy rates to encourage savings where we can and continued to provide a range of simple tips you can follow to optimise your energy usage - without compromising your lifestyle (and your warmth!).
As suggested in our recent blog, Energy saving hacks to keep your home warm, reviewing your placement of space heaters, reconsidering your heat settings, or even switching to LED lightbulbs can all make a difference to your energy usage. So too will the tips laid out in our blog, How to cut down your energy usage and bill.
Our customers and the Nectr community are always sharing tips with us, and we’d now like to reward you for switching to Nectr and your passion for sustainability.
Right now, we are currently offering 12 lucky customers the chance to WIN a year's worth of free electricity!
So how do you go into the draw?
Customers in New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia who sign up online and can submit an entry form that includes their top tips to reduce energy in the home. We are looking for creative, clever and actionable suggestions! We all know we can put on a jumper, shut doors and turn off lights, but what else can we do to cut our energy usage safely and effectively?
All eligible entries will go into the draw to have their energy bills paid for an entire year.
Here are your steps to follow:
- Sign up to one of Nectr’s 100% carbon neutral or GreenPower plans at www.apply.nectr.com.au
- Jump on our competition page and complete the entry form, including your best and most creative tips for saving electricity - in 50 words or fewer.
- We then cross reference that you have signed up online and you are in the draw
- Our panel of friendly and excited reviewers will then award the best entries per state
The competition is only open to new Nectr customers. Entries close on 11 September 2021 and only one entry is allowed per account holder. Check out all the terms and conditions here.
Now we play the waiting game…
The 12 best entries will be chosen and divided between each state – six in NSW, four in QLD and two in SA. The winners electricity will be paid for by Nectr for 365 days, up to the value of $2,549.20 in NSW, $2,138.71 in QLD and $2,504.04 in SA. Winners will have their prize applied as a credit to their bills starting from December 2021.
