Nectr and Hanwha Energy partner with Ark Energy
In exciting news, Nectr’s sister company Hanwha Energy has officially signed a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) supply agreement with Ark Energy for its Richmond Valley Solar & BESS.
Due to be one of the largest in NSW, the BESS will enhance grid stability of the NSW grid, maximise renewable energy utilisation, and support the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions.
What does that mean for Australian energy customers?
- A more reliable energy grid: Nectr is committed to ensuring precious energy is never wasted and thanks to this latest BESS supply agreement, that vision can become a reality. Excess energy generated during peak production periods throughout the day, can be stored using the large-scale storage system and then redeployed where it is needed during high-demand times. This clever automation and sophisticated distribution of energy helps balance supply and demand fluctuations and prevent black outs.
- More renewable energy in the grid: Large-scale solar storage enables clean energy to be stored and made available to use even when the sun goes down. During periods of high demand, green, clean solar energy can substitute other energy sources, increasing the amount of clean energy being pushed into the grid and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
