We're excited to announce that we were awarded for our 100% carbon neutral and 100% GreenPower plans that showcase environmental leadership and sustainable strategy, and empower consumers to choose genuine greener energy solutions.
Canstar Blue’s Green Excellence Awards 2022 involved independent rating and assessment, analysing a wide range of energy retailers and plans across Australia. Key assessment criteria included impact on sustainability, environmental targets (including commitment to sustainable change), affordability, accessibility, and ease of use.
Nectr’s Canstar Blue Award win adds to our green accolades, having also achieved top 10 status in Greenpeace Australia’s 2022 Green Electricity Guide earlier this year and multiple Mozo Experts Choice Awards in 2021.
The judging panel of Canstar Blue’s Green Excellence Awards 2022 recognised our commitment to driving sustainable change by reducing carbon emissions, investing in renewable projects (such as solar farms in NSW), and taking a customer-focused approach to pricing.
“Most power companies offer clean energy initiatives, but it usually comes at an additional cost to the consumer, which is a roadblock for many wanting to do their bit for the environment,” said Jared Mullane, Canstar Blue’s Energy Editor and an Awards judge.
“Incorporating the costs of offsetting carbon emissions generated from customers’ electricity usage into its product pricing is a huge drawcard for eco-conscious Aussies, and given that Nectr’s prices are generally competitive, it makes their product offerings all that sweeter.”
In the face of recent natural disasters in Australia, we've endeavoured to offer consumers an easy way to take climate action, reduce individual household energy costs and reduce their environmental impact.
