Sydney pharmacy makes $1,000 in energy savings

Meet Matthew from Pymble Pharmacy. Matthew has joined Nectr as part of Nectr’s exclusive energy offer for Pharmacy Guild NSW members and is saving hundreds of dollars on his energy bill each quarter.

Nectr small business experts are working with associations, franchise networks, retailers and other industry partners to give Australian small businesses access to better energy deals.

Pymble Pharmacy is just one of the hundreds of Pharmacy Guild NSW members that have joined Nectr on a competitive energy deal to suit their daytime energy demands.

Matthew recognises that energy is essential to the operations of his business, which has resulted in significant costs for his business in the past.

Daytime energy demands contributing to higher energy costs for small businesses like Matthew’s could include:

  • Refrigeration: Some medicines require refrigeration and storage for extended periods. Vaccines are often stored in fridges in pharmacies to be available when required by patients.
  • Heating and cooling: For the comfort of staff and visitors, heating and cooling can require high energy usage throughout the day.
  • Lighting: General and specialised lighting in stores are necessities that add to the daytime energy usage of small businesses.

Thanks to the Nectr and The Pharmacy Guild NSW energy agreement, Matthew’s business makes around $1,000 in energy savings each year.

Without the worry of bill shock, Matthew and local small business pharmacy owners in regional, suburban and city centres can focus on their important role of supporting the health and well-being of people in their communities.
