New energy regulations coming into effect on 1 July 2026 will strengthen protections for customers, making energy services fairer and clearer, particularly for those who need additional assistance.
From 1 July 2026, new regulations restrict when certain fees can be charged.
We won’t charge any fees, except for distributor charges passed through to you. This includes:

From 1 July 2026, new regulations limit how often we can increase your prices or reduce your feed-in tariff.
Changes can only be made once each year, in July.
Changes no more than once every 12 months from your contract start date.
From 1 July 2026, updated notice requirements apply to both energy prices and feed-in tariffs. If your rates increase or your feed-in tariff decreases, we’ll provide notice:
At least 5 business days before the change.
At least 20 business days before the change.
If your rates decrease or your feed-in tariff increases, we’ll notify you as soon as practicable, and no later than your next bill.
