NSW Home Energy Saver Program + Penrith Panthers Member Offer
The NSW Home Energy Saver program is an NSW Government initiative that offers eligible NSW households interest-free loans of up to $15,000 to install approved home energy upgrades, including rooftop solar and battery storage. Home Energy Saver loans are funded by the NSW Government and delivered by participating finance providers.
As the Official Energy Partner of the Penrith Panthers, Nectr Solar & Battery is also giving eligible Penrith Panthers Members an exclusive additional $500 off the purchase price of a solar and/or battery system from Nectr Solar & Battery. Where eligible, the $500 member discount can be combined with a Home Energy Saver interest-free loan.
Eligible NSW homeowners who submit an enquiry via panthersnswsolarbattery.nectr.com.au can have their eligibility assessed and receive a free, no-obligation quote for a qualifying installation. Loans are subject to eligibility, credit approval and the finance provider’s terms. The Penrith Panthers Member offer is available for a limited time.
Terms & Conditions
1. This offer is made by Instyle Solar Pty Ltd, ABN 99 159 287 153, trading as Nectr Solar & Battery, of Level 5, 12 Commercial Road, Newstead, QLD 4006 (Nectr Solar & Battery). Nectr Solar & Battery is the Official Energy Partner of the Penrith Panthers.
2. This offer has two parts: (a) access to a NSW Home Energy Saver interest-free loan of up to $15,000 (the Loan); and (b) an exclusive $500 discount for eligible Penrith Panthers Members off the purchase price of a solar and/or battery system from Nectr Solar & Battery (the Panthers Member Discount). You may qualify for one or both, subject to the eligibility criteria set out below.
The Penrith Panthers Member Offer
3. The Panthers Member Discount entitles eligible customers to $500 (AUD, inclusive of GST) off the purchase price of a new solar and/or battery system from Nectr Solar & Battery. To be eligible for the Panthers Member Discount, you must:
– be a current, financial member of the Penrith Panthers at the time your quote is issued and at the time of installation;
– be an owner-occupier or landlord of an eligible property located in New South Wales; and
– purchase and install an eligible solar and/or battery system from Nectr Solar & Battery.
4. To claim the Panthers Member Discount, request a quote via panthersnswsolarbattery.nectr.com.au and provide your Penrith Panthers membership details. Nectr Solar & Battery may require verification of your current, financial membership before applying the discount, and may decline to apply the discount where membership cannot be verified.
5. The Panthers Member Discount:
– applies to new installations only;
– is limited to one $500 discount per Penrith Panthers membership and per eligible property;
– is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed, in whole or in part, for cash;
– is applied to your quote at the time of purchase and is subject to the validity period stated on that quotation; and
– is not available in conjunction with any other Nectr Solar & Battery promotion, discount or offer, except a NSW Home Energy Saver loan.
6. The Panthers Member Discount may be applied together with a NSW Home Energy Saver loan. Where the discount reduces the total price of your system, it may also reduce the loan amount you require. The Panthers Member Discount does not increase, and is separate from, any amount funded under the Loan.
7. The Penrith Panthers Member offer is available for a limited time, from [start date] to [end date], unless extended, amended or withdrawn earlier. Nectr Solar & Battery reserves the right to withdraw or amend the Panthers Member offer at any time without prior notice, provided that any change does not cause unreasonable detriment to customers who have already contracted with Nectr Solar & Battery.
8. The Penrith Panthers Member offer is provided by Nectr Solar & Battery, not by the Penrith Panthers. The Penrith Panthers is not the provider of, and is not responsible for, the offer, the products, the installation or any finance. Your Penrith Panthers membership is governed by separate terms between you and the Penrith Panthers, and is not affected by these terms and conditions. Any reference to the Penrith Panthers is used by Nectr Solar & Battery under its partnership arrangement with the club.
The NSW Home Energy Saver Loan
9. The NSW Home Energy Saver program is funded and administered by the NSW Government. Nectr Solar & Battery is an accredited retailer and installer of solar and battery systems, and is not the provider of the program or the Loan. Nectr Solar & Battery’s role is limited to: (a) assessing, on a preliminary basis, whether you may be eligible; (b) providing a quote for a qualifying solar and/or battery installation; and (c) referring you to a participating finance provider to apply for a Home Energy Saver loan.
10. Home Energy Saver loans are funded by the NSW Government and delivered by participating finance providers, being Brighte Capital Pty Limited, ABN 74 609 165 906, Australian Credit Licence 508217 (Brighte) and Plenti Finance Pty Limited, ABN 82 636 759 861, Australian Credit Licence 569622 (Plenti). Brighte and Plenti are each referred to in these terms and conditions as a Finance Provider. Your loan will be provided and managed by one Finance Provider and is subject to that Finance Provider’s credit assessment and approval. You will enter into a separate credit contract directly with your Finance Provider. These terms and conditions are separate from, and do not form part of, that credit contract.
11. The Home Energy Saver loan offer is available from 25 June 2026 and remains open until further notice. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend the offer at any time without prior notice.
12. To be eligible for a Home Energy Saver loan, you must meet the criteria set by the NSW Government and your Finance Provider, which currently include that you:
– are an Australian citizen or permanent resident;
– own the property where the upgrade is to be installed, as an owner-occupier or landlord (renters are not eligible for the loan);
– have a combined household taxable income of no more than $210,000 per year;
– have a property located in New South Wales that is not social or community housing and is not used for short-stay accommodation; and
– meet your Finance Provider’s credit assessment requirements.
Some areas may be subject to service restrictions or unavailability.
13. Final eligibility for the loan is determined by the NSW Government and your Finance Provider, not by Nectr Solar & Battery. Nectr Solar & Battery does not assess, decide or guarantee your eligibility for, or approval of, any loan, or the amount, term or availability of any loan. Any indication of eligibility given by Nectr Solar & Battery is preliminary only. The current, authoritative eligibility criteria are published at energy.nsw.gov.au/home-energy-saver. If you do not meet the eligibility criteria or your Finance Provider’s credit requirements, your loan application may be declined and this offer may not be available to you.
14. The Home Energy Saver loan provides up to $15,000 at 0% interest, repayable over a term of up to 10 years, with no establishment or account-keeping fees and no fee for early repayment. Other fees (for example, a late-payment fee where a repayment is missed) may apply under your Finance Provider’s loan terms. Headline figures (including “up to $15,000”, “0% interest” and “interest-free”) describe the maximum or standard terms of the program; the actual amount, term and conditions of any loan are subject to your Finance Provider’s assessment.
15. A formal written quote is required to confirm the scope, pricing and eligibility of your installation. All products and upgrades must meet NSW Home Energy Saver program requirements and must be installed by an accredited installer. The list of eligible upgrades and products may change — refer to energy.nsw.gov.au/home-energy-saver for the current requirements.
16. Subject to approval, your Finance Provider pays Nectr Solar & Battery directly for the installation once you and Nectr Solar & Battery confirm the work is complete. You do not receive the loan funds directly. If your installation costs more than your approved loan amount (including more than the $15,000 maximum), you are responsible for paying the difference to Nectr Solar & Battery in accordance with your quote and contract.
17. Nectr Solar & Battery does not provide credit assistance, financial product advice or tax advice. Any information provided by Nectr Solar & Battery about the program or a loan is general information only and does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. You should consider your own circumstances, read your Finance Provider’s terms and disclosures, and seek independent financial, legal or tax advice before entering into a loan.
18. If a customer cancels their order after signing a contract, or if an installation appointment is cancelled prior to completion, the quoted pricing and any program-related benefits (including the Panthers Member Discount) may no longer apply. Your rights to cancel are set out in your installation contract with Nectr Solar & Battery and your credit contract with your Finance Provider, including any cooling-off rights that apply under law.
19. Where eligible, the loan may be used together with other government incentives (for example the federal small-scale technology certificates / battery rebate, the NSW Energy Savings Scheme and the NSW Peak Demand Reduction Scheme). Eligibility for those schemes is assessed separately and is not guaranteed by Nectr Solar & Battery. Except for the Panthers Member Discount, this offer cannot be combined with any other Nectr Solar & Battery promotion unless expressly agreed in writing and cannot be redeemed for cash.
General
20. Nothing in these terms and conditions restricts, excludes or modifies any consumer rights that consumers may have under any statute, including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
21. Except for any conditions, warranties and representations expressly stated in these terms and conditions, to the extent permitted by law, Nectr Solar & Battery excludes all conditions, warranties and representations under or in connection with the offer and these terms and conditions.
22. To the extent permitted by law, Nectr Solar & Battery’s liability for breach of any condition, warranty or guarantee imposed by statute that cannot be excluded, and a customer’s sole and exclusive remedy in relation to such breach, will be limited to (at Nectr Solar & Battery’s option):
– supplying the relevant services again; or
– paying the cost of having the services supplied again.
23. To the extent permitted by law, Nectr Solar & Battery’s total aggregate liability to a person in respect of any claim, loss, damage, expense or liability arising under or in connection with the offer or these terms and conditions (including in negligence) will not exceed the price paid to Nectr Solar & Battery for the relevant goods or services. Nectr Solar & Battery is not responsible for the acts, omissions, assessments, decisions or terms of the NSW Government, your Finance Provider or the Penrith Panthers, or for any tax consequences arising from a loan.
24. Nectr Solar & Battery will use your personal information to conduct and manage the offer, to assess your enquiry, to verify your Penrith Panthers membership, to provide products and services to you, to refer you to a Finance Provider, and to manage its relationship with you, as otherwise permitted by law. Nectr Solar & Battery may disclose your personal information to your Finance Provider (Brighte or Plenti), the NSW Government, the Penrith Panthers (for the purpose of verifying membership), and to its related companies, agents and contractors to assist in these purposes. This may include disclosures to organisations outside Australia, including in the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, South Korea, Hong Kong and the Philippines.
25. By participating, you consent to receive email or SMS messages from Nectr Solar & Battery in relation to the offer. You may opt out of these communications at any time by contacting us. Nectr Solar & Battery’s Privacy and Credit Reporting Policy is available at nectr.com.au/privacy-and-credit-reporting-policy/ and contains information about how to access or correct the personal information Nectr Solar & Battery holds about you, and how to make a privacy complaint.
26. Eligibility is subject to verification. The Promoter reserves the right to request supporting documentation at any time, including proof of homeownership, income, identity or Penrith Panthers membership.
27. This offer is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, any social media platform including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, TikTok, or Twitter/X. Customers and prospective customers provide their information to Nectr Solar & Battery and not to any social media platform, and completely release any relevant social media platforms from all liability.
28. Nectr Solar & Battery may exclude or suspend a person from the offer or from receiving benefits under the offer if the person:
– breaches these terms and conditions;
– engages in any conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the offer;
– acts in a disruptive, annoying, threatening, abusive or harassing manner;
– does anything that may diminish the good name or reputation of Nectr Solar & Battery or any of its related entities or contractors;
– breaches any law in connection with the offer or their participation in the offer; or
– behaves in a way that is otherwise inappropriate.
29. Home Energy Saver loans are funded by the NSW Government and delivered by Brighte. Loans are provided and managed by Brighte and are subject to assessment. Eligibility criteria and approved upgrade requirements apply. All applications for credit are subject to Brighte’s credit approval criteria. 30. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
